Pack Smart

Some clothes just don't travel well. Suits, tuxedo jackets, long dresses, hats -- none of these things pack easily, so what do you do? Try not to need them in the first place! Even if you are going to a fancy party at your destination, you can pack smartly and perhaps find alternatives to the standard formal wear. Some things just don't pack well -- instead of having them wrinkled and ruined, don't try to bring them in the first place.

You are right, some items just don't travel well. I you do have a difficult item to pack, does require one to plan ahead, such as having a special box for the hat, tissue paper to cushion a dress/suit that would wrinkle. For ladies that do need to go to a formal type of event, a squined type of dress/gown is usually easy to pack....it doesn't wrinkle!

They may not travel well, but sometimes you gotta take them! alternatives never work great in my favor... I recommend getting a dress suitcase. Doesn't wrinkle them.. and can easily be ironed when you reach your destination.

With skillful packing, you can avoid checking a bag (and the fee) when you take a short trip. For longer trips, you can save money and hassle by checking only one bag.
