The Future of Air Travel = No Carry-ons?

Do you think you could fly without any carry-on luggage? I mean, it seems like the easiest, most hassle free way to fly, but could you do it? Or is it the easiest way to fly? What do you really need for a 3 hour flight? What in your checked luggage is too valuable not to keep with your person? A wallet/purse? Passport? Lipstick?

I would like to pack lightly to only have carry on luggage, just so that I don't have to wait for my luggage at the destination (also so that it doesn't get lost or detained). My husband really goes out of his way to pack extra light to accomplish this.

Certain things i would never trust to the bright lights down in luggage @ the air port.

My laptop is my life... if i loose it i get set back quite some.

Asside from the lack of ability to work (or play) on the plane.i wouldnt wannt a 3 hours fly to send my laptop 10000 miles away!

Oooops...

Then, theres of course the kids... how much stuff do those little buggers need? Try fitting that in your purse.

I still remember the mini blinds in the boys’ bedroom when they were small. We made sure that Jesse’s crib was away from the window because we were concerned about the cord. As it turns out, those cords on window coverings were the cause of many child tragedies, although we didn’t know it at the time.
